Advocacy
France: organisation from (ex-)users and survivors of
psychiatry, professionals and relatives · Target group:
(ex-)users and survivors of psychiatry · Aims: development
of advocacy and self-help. "We help people who call us by
phone or send us a letter when they feel to have some prejudice,
social exclusion and segregation because they are users
in mental health and psychiatry. We set up convivial citizens'
places, until now in Paris,
Caen, Vire, Perpignan,
Prades, Rouen and Grenoble. The users are responsible for
their activities and mutual self-help · Organisation

600 members all over France; representative organisation,
recognised by government, active at congresses at other

Psy (Fédération Nationale des Associations
de Patients et [ex] Patients "PSY"; French network
of users' associations): La FNAP Psy est une fédération
d' associations Françaises de Patients ou d'ex-patients
qui regroupe actuellement une vingtaine d'associations.
Elle donne la force supplémentaire à chacune de
ses associations membres et les représente auprès
des instances concernées. Elle facilite le développement
des associations et tente d'en créer, là où
il n'en existe pas. Tant à l'égard des individus
