  • ** Kavshiri "Tanamshromloba tanabari uplebebisatvis" ("Partnership for Equal Rights" – PER). Local organisation, aims at integration of persons with mental problems into society and protection of their rights. The union was created in 2003 as the follow-up of the projects implemented by the Georgian Association for Mental Heath. Union is staffed by users, ex-users, interested persons, students, and mental health specialists. Groups of self-help, information, education, public events and relations are functioning within the union. On behalf of the union there were published information booklets, the seminar on stigma was organized with students, literary party was held, legal and social problems of number of users have been settled.   • Sakartvelos Psiqikuri Janmrtelobis Asotsiatsia (GAMH, Georgian Association for Mental Health): GAMH was founded in 1991 by professionals, users of mental health services and their relatives. The aim of GAMH is to develop mental health and social services in Georgia and to reduce the discrimination and social exclusion associated with mental health problems. Current projects include: Psycho-social Rehabilitation Centre, Advocacy Project, Training for trainers at the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre, Publication of books and leaflets, Promoting the establishment of self-help groups for users in two regions, Users' activities, including art exhibitions, concerts, plays and sports events.   • * Sakartvelos Uzerta Da Eqs-Uzerta Kavshiri (Union of Users and Ex-Users of Georgia). Non-governmental and registered national organization, founded on August 31, 2001. Aim: helping (ex-)users. To achieve this aim we were given all the rights including commercial activities, that means we are eligible for all the rights for all activities like education, training, recreation, and commercial (e.g. sheltered workshop). We, (ex-)users only, are member of the Georgian Association for Mental Health and co-operating with Hamlet Trust to strenghten our organisation.
