  • * Lélek-Hang Egyesület (Voice of Soul Association): The biggest (ex-)user/survivor of psychiatry organisation in Hungary. Voice of Soul Association is the oldest (ex-)user/survivor of psychiatry NGO in Hungary. At present it has a membership of 130 from all over Hungary. Voice of Soul is a democratic NGO with annual general assembly and with an elected board of directors consisting of (ex-)users/survivors. Main fields of activity: self- and mutual help, advocacy, human rights defence of (ex-)users and survivors of psychiatry. Through its extensive program in long term institutions, that empowerment activity reaches thousands of psychiatric inmates. Another area of work is to support non-psychiatric alternatives. Through regional and international co-operation Voice of Soul has become a leading organisation in the field in the post-communist world. Voice of Soul has been active in documenting discrimination against (ex-)users/survivors of psychiatry. In conjunction with other human rights NGOs Voice of Soul helped victims of discrimination with litigation.
